With Pricol’s longstanding commitment to social and employee welfare, we are determined to help create a better society. As good corporate citizens, we feel responsible to actively contribute our best efforts to enhance the societal and the environmental needs.

Pricol is proud to have sponsored the renovation of the primary school at Pallapalayam, Sulur, to commemorate the 75th birthday of our founder Mr. Vijay Mohan. The new premises, developed at a cost of INR 1.7 Crore, was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi and it features modern classrooms, clean facilities, rainwater harvesting systems, and more, providing students with a safe and supportive learning environment. By investing in supporting the learning environment, we are contributing to a brighter future for the next generation.

Pricol is committed to sustainability, and we are excited to introduce the Arogya Vanam tree-planting initiative, a collaborative effort between Pricol and Siruthuli. This project involves planting of 93 species of native medicinal plants that offer various benefits. On 24th September, 2023, over 900 trees were planted at the Arogya Vanam including 66 trees on behalf of our esteemed shareholders who have attended the 12th AGM, signifying unity and shared responsibility.

Contribution towards COVID-19 Initiatives

As part of the COVID-19 management initiatives in the district, we contributed INR 1 crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, part of which was actively contributed by the employees of Pricol. Same was utilised for the essential equipment and material needs of CMCH.

Based on the requirement of CMCH, an RT-PCR testing equipment was handed over to them. Also, a state-of-the-art anesthesia workstation had been handed over to the hospital. This integrated anesthesia workstation would serve as a complete anesthesia and respiratory gas delivery and monitoring system. It combines advanced ventilation features, gas delivery and agent vaporizing with patient monitoring and information management to form an integrated anesthesia care station.

Udhaya Vanam

To commemorate 46 years of meritorious service of Mr. Udhay Kumar, Pricol, in association with Eera Idhayangal Organisation, launched “Udhaya Vanam” at bettathapuram village, Coimbatore.

Udhaya Vanam, a tree park, was created by planting 46 native tree saplings with walking path and seating areas for local community to effectively utilize for health and mental well-being.

Tree Plantation

Tree plantation has been a regular activity at Pricol. Our teams not only plant trees around the operational sites, but also ensures their survival by erecting tree guards and carefully nurtures them till the sapling matures into a tree. Pricol contributes towards making the environment clean and green through tree plantation drives as a regular practice which contributes to a healthy ecosystem. Moving beyond the operational sites, Pricol has created innumerable tree parks based on Miyawaki techniques in and around all operational sites benefitting the local communities

Eye Camp

As an organization, Pricol’s ethos believes in giving back to society. Focusing on health and wellness, eye camps helped the needy to get better vision which will increase their quality of living and dedicated for well-being of our society. Free Eye camps have been organized in Perumal Kovil Pathy, Coimbatore for the needy people in association with Sankara Eye Hospital. The primary purpose of conducting free eye camp is to provide high volume, high quality and free eye screening to the rural population in the targeted areas.

The main aim behind organizing these free eye camps is to create awareness among these people and provide them the services like eye care education, full eye checkups, and medical care etc., we conduct free eye checkups camps at regular intervals to prevent the people from getting major eye disorders.

Free Eye Camp for Government School Students

As a part of Pricol Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity, we conduct Free Eye checkup camp along with Spectacles in association with Sankara Eye Hospital for Govt school students in and around Coimbatore Corporation schools and Karamadai block Government School covering more than 40 govt schools. On account of Children’s Day, we have started the First Full day Free Eye camp from (November 14th) in Coimbatore Corporation primary school, Masakalipalayam. Students participated in the camp and benefited.

Cleaning of Government Hospitals

Cleanliness is next to godliness. The importance of cleaning toilets thus lies not only for aesthetic purposes but also for health and hygiene reasons. A toilet, being a place where the bodily toxins are secreted, makes it crucial to be a place where there is absolute cleanliness. The toilets in hospitals must be monitored in a timely manner to avoid the transmission of diseases.

As an another CSR activity, we facilitated the cleaning process for the toilets and bathrooms in government hospitals, Coimbatore. Initiatives like these help in enhancing the performance of the hospital in a much better way by containing the transmission of diseases and help them to service people better.

An initiative with a purpose

We work with the primary objective of contributing to the sustainable development of the society and creating a greener and cleaner environment around us. Towards achieving these objectives, Pricol has initiated ‘We Care’, a program which executes various social and environmental development activities in and around its operational locations.Few glimpses of the CSR initiatives undertaken by the company in FY 2020 – 2021 Knowledge Centre with Library Building

A Knowledge Centre with Library Building was inaugurated in January 2021 in Tirupur district, Tamilnadu.
This library building was constructed keeping in mind the need for knowledge gaining for the local people and their children.
The library includes a diverse collection of books and also a Digital section.
Repairs & Renovation of Government School building
Pricol has adopted a Government High School in Tirupur District, Tamilnadu over the past 5 years.
The company has provided the school with facilities like water purifiers, computer accessories, smart class and science lab equipment.
Pricol has also maintained the infrastructure of the school building which includes painting, tree plantation and rainwater harvesting.
The newly constructed school arch was inaugurated in January 2021.
